Welcome to my portfolio

My name is Robert Ross LaPorte III. It is my passion to develop web sites and applications that are well structured, cross-browser, and intuitive. I also take the time to make sure that every site that I build loads as quickly as possible by reducing clutter on the server and compressing files. I also am sure to deploy proven search engine optimization techniques on both the front and back-end.

Creative Development

I work best when presented with a problem, and thrive under pressure. To me, a web site, application or other project is like a large puzzle which I must complete within a time limit. Not only that, but it is up to me to create all the pieces, and figure out how to fit them together. This is where programmers are often overlooked as creative, but possess even more creativity than most other artists. It is one thing to go buy some paints and a canvas and create a work of art, but it is an entirely different to start with nothing, and must create your paints and canvas and use them to create your work of art. Computer languages offer programmers and web developers an endless amount of ways to approach the same problems, and allow the creative programmer to create just about anything they can imagine. We start by creating the tools that we will need, and then leverage those tools to solve the problems that we are presented with.
